Dren Starr has had a remarkable journey spanning over 30 years in the entertainment industry. He was born in New York City’s Bellevue Hospital and raised in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. He has deep roots in his Puerto Rican heritage and still resides in the same area. Sadly, he lost his father at the age of three and grew up with his mother and sister. Dren Starr commenced his career as a DJ at the age of 14 and went on to create and own his own hip-hop radio station in New York at the age of 18. His station, WBAD RADIO 91.9FM, competed against Hot97 and became a noteworthy success story, earning coverage on UPN9 news. Despite the station's triumph, it was ultimately shut down by the federal government (FCC).

Unwavering in his passion, Dren Starr then opened a pirate recording studio, which became the first official studio on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. As an entrepreneur, he opened several other recording studios throughout the city, where he served as a producer and engineer. Dren Starr's career is marked by several notable achievements. He landed on the cover art of Ghostface Killah's Big Doe Rehab album, which was a major accomplishment during the peak of CDs. He also appeared on track #5 of the Biggie Duets album, where he had a conversation with Big Pun during the song's introduction. The iconic moment made history because it marked the only time that two hip-hop legends, Biggie and Big Pun, collaborated on a track. Additionally, Dren Starr was the forenote of Fat Joe's latest album "Family Ties, " and worked closely with the late great Big Punisher. In fact, he conducted Big Pun's final interview before his untimely death in 2000.

As a true entrepreneur, Dren Starr has managed several hip-hop artists on a personal level and managed artists for tours. Some of the artists he has worked with include Wu-Tangs Ghostface Killah and Kinetic 9 of Wu-Tangs affiliate group Killarmy.

After his monumental success, Dren Starr was unable to continue with his music career as he was incarcerated in NYS. Upon his release from serving a five-year prison sentence, he discovered that the music industry had significantly changed. Adapting to what he calls the new digital era of the music industry was his biggest obstacle. Dren was reintroduced to a world that had gone digital, especially the music industry. He adapted to the changes by delving into digital marketing and promotions, which led to the creation of his own brand, LES BRAND.

He is a firm believer in a few key principles that have helped him achieve success. He lives by "Always keep it real, keep your circle small, and stay in your lane." Timing and consistency are also crucial, as he believes in never forcing or chasing opportunities that are not meant for you. Dren values good business practices, never burning bridges, staying true to himself, and maintaining a humble attitude.

Dren Starr is driven to create a better future for his family by providing them with more opportunities. He aims to establish a legacy that will outlast him and generate generational wealth. Dren is committed to building a brand and foundation on the Lower East Side that his sons can carry on, making LES a well-known name and ensuring long-term financial stability. His dreams and aspirations lie in putting LES on the map and creating generational wealth for his family. Dren Star, already a titan and business mogul, is now the brand ambassador for D’USSE Cognac under Roc Nation, further adding to his impressive legacy. He has stapled his legacy as a multifaceted music mogul and businessman. He has collaborated with industry giants like Roc Nation and D'USSÉ cognac and has played a pivotal role in major hip-hop events such as Rolling Loud and various tours. His social media profiles reveal his impressive connections with musical icons and billionaires such as Michael Rubin. What distinguishes him, though, is his ability to adapt to any situation while remaining true to himself.
